My sister
My wife and I are visiting with my sister and her family in Montreal for the next few days. My sister tells me she reads this blog and has gained some 'insights' into her brother. I keep asking what those insights might be but as yet she hasn't given me any kind of good answer.
Tonight I was going to write about my second crucial aspect of a teacher education program but I will wait with that for another time.
I'm doing that because as we talked about this blog Roberta (my sister) asked if I was going to write about her - and I said yes and threatened to include a picture of her at Winnipeg Beach - topless!! She reminded me she was around 8 or 9 when the picture was taken. Child porn?
Fortunately for all of us I couldn't find that picture - but I did find the picture just above. We were in Toronto at Roberta's grandson's bris (for those of you that don't know what that is you'll have to google it - try Brit Milah). Unfortunately I was trying to grow a full beard then.
I have been coming to Montreal and staying with Roberta and her family for a long time now - two or three times a year. Those visits and inexpensive long distance service have served to keep us close. We have no other brothers or sisters so its just us - and of course our spouses and kids - and now our kids spouses - although her kids are moving a bit faster than mine.
I am obliged to say that I courteously allow Roberta to be the younger sibling these days.
So Roberta is that enough? or did you want a longer entry? I'm expecting comments!
