Engineering Projects and Friends
A few years ago I was visiting a friend, sitting on their deck. As the evening started to cool our host fired up his backyard fireplace - a large metal fireplace sitting on his cement patio. It warmed us and made the last hour or so of our visit very pleasant.
I declared that I would like one of those.
In typical fashion it took me a few years to get around to buying one.
This April I found a terrific fire pit at Canadian Tire.
This last weekend I put the fire pit together. It is basically a copper table with a grate in the middle to hold the fire.
Although I chopped wood and started a fire yesterday, tonight was the real fire pit inaugural.
Pat and Mark Mulatz, good friends, came to sit around the fire with us. We sat from about 8 to just after 10:30 - more or less killing a bottle of Bushmills.
Friendship and the feeling of accomplishment - another engineering project successfully completed!!!!
